Ondřej Mazuch (born March 15, 1989 in Hodonín , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech football player who is currently under contract with FK Mladá Boleslav .
Career
In the club
Ondřej Mazuch began playing football with Pares Prušánky, from 1996 to 2000 he played for Sigma Hodonín. In 2001 the defender was signed by 1. FC Brno . At the age of 17 he came in the 2005/06 season to his first appearances in the B team, which played in the second Czech division.
He made the leap into the first division squad for the 2006/07 season. At first he was mostly on the bench, but he was a regular from the end of September. With outstanding performances, he drew the attention of several top European clubs, including Juventus Turin and Arsenal London . Finally, Mazuch was signed by Bayer 04 Leverkusen for around 1.4 million euros on the condition that he could play for another year and a half until mid-2008 in Brno .
After Bayer Leverkusen failed to transfer the first installment payment to 1. FC Brno, the Czechs started talks with other interested parties. End of May 2007 changed Mazuch for around 2.8 million euros for Fiorentina , although Juventus had more offered one million euros. The central defender, who can also play as a right full-back, signed a five-year contract in Florence .
He made his debut for the Fiorentina on December 11, 2007 in the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia against Ascoli Calcio . In the victorious second leg on January 16, 2008 he came to his second professional appearance. In Serie A, however, the defensive player was not used. In June 2009 Mazuch was loaned to RSC Anderlecht for one year. In the winter break of the 2011/12 season he moved to the Ukrainian first division club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk .
In the national team
Ondřej Mazuch has played for the Czech U-16, U-17 , U-19, U-20 and U-21 team . With the U-17 Mazuch was 2006 European runner-up , with the U-20 2007 World Cup runners- .
