Oracze ( German Oratsche ) is a district of the Upper Silesian town of Toszek (Tost) . Oracze is located north of the old town and the Toster Bach (Toszecki Potok) flows past the place.

history

In 1865 the place had three three-quarter farmers, two half-farmers, ten gardeners, four farmhouses and ten local farmers. In addition, there was a watermill in the village at that time. The residents were parish and schooled in Tost.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 93 eligible voters voted to remain in Germany and 70 to belong to Poland. Oratsche remained with the German Empire . Oratsche was a separate community until 1926. On April 1, 1926 Oratsche was incorporated into the city of Tost. In the 1930s Oratsche was renamed together with the neighboring Danieletz in Vorstadt Eichendorff . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Tost-Gleiwitz .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed Oracze . In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Gliwicki and the new Silesian Voivodeship . In 2009 Oracze had 520 inhabitants.
