Pisarzowice ( German Pissarzowitz ) is a village in Upper Silesia in the municipality Toszek (Tost) in the powiat Gliwicki of the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .

Geographical location

Pisarzowice is three kilometers southeast of the parish seat Toszek , 20 kilometers northwest of the county town of Gliwice (Gleiwitz) and 39 kilometers northwest of the voivodship Katowice .

Neighboring towns of Pisarzowice are Toszek (Tost) in the northwest and Ciochowice (Ciochowitz) in the southwest .

history

In 1818 the place was mentioned as Pißarowitz and Schreibendorf.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 105 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 189 for Poland. Pissarzowitz remained with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 538 inhabitants. In 1931 the place was renamed to Schreibersort . In 1939 the place had 505 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Tost-Gleiwitz .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Pisarzowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Gliwicki and the new Silesian Voivodeship .
