Oskar Ulrich

Oskar Ulrich (born January 28, 1862 in Hanover ; † January 13, 1946 in Schwarmstedt ) was a German high school teacher , local historian and author of standard works on the history of the city of Hanover .

Life

Oskar Ulrich was the brother of the Hanover city archivist Adolf Ulrich .

After attending Lyceum II in Hanover, Oskar Ulrich began studying classical philology and German at the University of Göttingen and graduated there on February 14, 1885 with the examination for a higher teaching post.

From 1886, Oskar Ulrich worked as a teacher at the Höhere Töchterschule III in Hanover for two decades , but then switched to the Höhere Töchterschule II as director in April 1906 . In addition, from 1907 to 1909 he took over the position of director at his previous training company, the Höhere Töchterschule II.

As an author, Oskar Ulrich has published numerous works on the history of his hometown, including biographies on the mayor Christian Ulrich Grupen and Charlotte Kestner .

1922 Ulrich was from the University of Göttingen to Dr. appointed hc .

In 1927 Oskar Ulrich was retired .
