East German board of trustees of associations
The East German Board of Trustees of Associations is a registered association that was created in 1994 and functions as an amalgamation of associations and organizations that specialize in East German and change-related topics and fields of activity . According to some political scientists , anti- unification forces gather in the board of trustees . The historian Hubertus Knabe describes the organization as a “popular front against German unity”.
prehistory
In 1993 an "East German Memorandum " was published. In June 1994 the Board of Trustees was registered as an association, which named the establishment of the internal unity of the German people as its main goal. The first chairman was Peter-Michael Diestel .

The president is Matthias Werner, the vice-presidents are Hans Bauer (chairman of GRH eV), Klaus Blessing , Karl-Heinz Wendt (federal chairman of GBM eV) and Rolf Scheffel. The presidium also includes: Dieter Becker (secretary), Rudolf Denner (press officer), Helmut Holfert (editor), Wilfried Franke (treasurer), Hans Reichelt and Siegfried Mechler.

The political scientist Udo Baron arranges the East German Kuratorium as an organization of the dogmatic, i. H. Marxist-Leninist-oriented left-wing extremism .

Actions
- Joint conference of the PDS party executive and the East German Board of Trustees of Associations on May 31, 2003 at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau
- The association "More Democracy" called for an alliance for a referendum. The OKV was one of the 80 associations that supported this demand for more democracy after nationwide referendums and referendums.
- A protest has been held on the Day of German Unity since 2007 . This involves alleged deficits in German unity and a dispute with the domestic, foreign and defense policy of the federal government.
