The Ostenau (Danish: Øster Å ) is an approximately 22 km long, right or northern tributary of the Arlau in the district of North Friesland , Schleswig-Holstein .

course

The Ostenau begins as the confluence of several ditches about four and a half kilometers northeast of Löwenstedt in the Seeland Moor on the border with the Schleswig-Flensburg district . At first it flows in a westerly direction, only to bend south in Drelsdorf . To the southeast of this village, it continues in a westerly direction to flow into the Arlau between Bohmstedt and Almdorf .
