Karl Oswald Susset (* 4 August 1860 in Wimmental , † July 1945 in Herrenberg ) was a württembergischer bailiff and Government.

Life

Susset came from a Wimmental family who had been involved in local politics since the beginning of the 19th century and provided several councilors, mayors and mayors. His father Franz Ludwig Susset was Wimmental mayor from 1876 until his death in 1882, his nephew Eugen Richard Susset was mayor of Wimmental from 1935 to 1945 and again from 1946 until his death in 1953. The sons of another nephew, Oswald Johann Susset, later became members of the Bundestag ( Egon Susset , 1929–2013) and district administrator ( Franz Susset , born 1932).

Oswald Susset passed the Abitur at the humanistic Karlsgymnasium in Heilbronn . In the winter semester 1881/1882 he took up the study of criminal sciences at the University of Tübingen and renonciert with the country team Scotland . After passing the second higher service examination in 1889, he was recognized as qualified and appointed to government trainee class II . This was followed by positions as a deputy bailiff in the upper offices of Schorndorf , Neresheim , Göppingen , Calw and Münsingen and as a bailiff in the upper offices of Biberach and Ravensburg .

After holding further positions in ministries and district governments, he came to the Herrenberg Oberamt in 1907 as senior bailiff . From 1915 to 1919 he held the same position in the Oberamt Backnang . From 1919 to 1924, Susset was a councilor in the government of the Danube District in Ulm .

Awards

Oswald Susset was awarded the Karl Olga Medal in silver.
