vehicles

Brand name Anadol

Reliant and Ogle Design designed the first model, which appeared in 1966 and went into series production on December 7, 1966. The body of the notchback sedan was made of fiberglass . At the beginning, the domestically produced share of the vehicle was 53%. A four-cylinder engine from the Ford Anglia Super with a displacement of 1198 cm³ propelled the vehicle. From 1969 a Ford engine with 1300 cm³ displacement was the standard engine. From 1974 an engine with a displacement of 1600 cc was also available. Coupé and station wagon completed the range. In 1986 car production ended. The Otosan Ford Taunus 1.6 became the successor.

10,000 vehicles were built by November 1970. At the time, the annual production was about 5000 vehicles. The production figures fell, so in 1982 only 407 vehicles were built.

The Anadol Böcek was a beach wagon .

Brand names Otosan and Otosan Ford

The first model under this brand name appeared in 1963. This was the license production of the German Ford Taunus 17 M as a station wagon. It is not specified whether it was the then current Ford P 3 or the predecessor model Ford P 2 .

The next Ford model was the 1985 Otosan Ford Taunus 1.6, which corresponded to the Ford Taunus TC and was initially produced as a four-door sedan . Another source mentions the year 1981. Later an engine with 2000 cc displacement was available. A pick-up version followed.

Brand name Ford or unclear

Otosan claims to have assembled the English model Ford Consul in 1960 , although the brand name has not been passed down.

In 1977 the Ford Transit was added.

From 1993 the Ford Escort was also assembled, but the brand name has not been passed down. 41,969 vehicles of this model were built by 1999.

The range mainly includes commercial vehicles such as the Ford Transit, the Ford Transit Connect and the Ford Cargo , which are marketed as Ford .
