Ottfingen is part of the municipality of Wenden ( Olpe district ) in the Sauerland .
geography
Ottfingen is located in the southwest of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature park in the midst of a varied low mountain range. The flora is characterized by coniferous, deciduous and mixed forests as well as grassland. Not far from the village is the Olpe-Süd motorway exit to the A 4 towards Cologne and the A 45 (Sauerland line) towards Dortmund or Gießen .

music
The Ottfinger Chöre eV in Ottfingen deal with music with the men's choir Frohsinn (founded in 1921), the men's choir VocalArt (founded in 1991), the women's choir (founded in 1970), the children's and youth choir bella musica (founded in 1996) and the mixed voices Stimmwerk (founded in 2012), the mixed church choir St. Hubertus , the Musikverein Treue 1959 eV and the Tambourcorps.
Buildings
The Aale Kapäll chapel stands in the heart of Ottfingen and is also its landmark. Experts estimate that it was built between the 12th and 13th centuries. The bell in the tower bears the date of 1489 cast in Roman numerals.
Folk festivals
The Ottfinger Schützenfest traditionally takes place on the 3rd weekend in June and is the largest of its kind in the municipality of Wenden.
Sports
The sports club SV Ottfingen trains and plays on an artificial turf pitch built in 1993.
