Otto Kerry

Otto Kerry (born December 11, 1913 in Chernivtsi , Bukowina , † November 30, 1981 in Vienna ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

Otto Kerry received a private training at the drama school Dr. R. Beer . He gained his first stage experience from 1937 to 1938 at the Theater an der Wien and, after completing his military service, at the city theater in Mährisch Ostrau (1941 to 1942). Appearances at theaters in Gera and Metz followed . After 1945 he had engagements at various stages in Vienna (including the cabaret "Wiener Werkel" and in 1946 at the Theater in der Josefstadt ). From 1947 he was a member of the ensemble at the Vienna Burgtheater .

He played there the Grimm in Friedrich Schiller's The Robbers and William Shakespeare's Richard II. To Percy . In the season 1965/1966 appearances in Henrik Ibsen's play Peer Gynt can be recorded.

Otto Kerry also worked in some film and television productions . These included the 1950 home film Der Wallnerbub by Alfred Stöger with Ewald Balser , Josef Meinrad and Käthe Gold and in 1963 the television recording of a performance by the Burgtheater with the play Liliom by the Hungarian writer Ferenc Molnár with Josef Meinrad, Susi Nicoletti , Manfred Inger and Hans Moser . In 1970 he played the role of Dr. in the episode Perfect Murder of the television series Oberinspektor Marek. Wöltz . Fritz Eckhardt , Kurt Jaggberg and Paola Loew played next to him .

Otto Kerry also worked as an acting teacher and also taught the actress Emmy Werner .
