Otto Lüer

Otto Lüer (born June 4, 1865 in Bruchhausen ; † February 12, 1947 in Bad Pyrmont ) was a German architect .

Life

Lüer was the brother of Kurt Lüer and Hermann Lüer and the son of the actuary Georg Christian Ludwig Lüer and Sophie Caroline Marie , née Jansen . His uncle was the architect Wilhelm Lüer.

Lüer studied architecture at the Technical University of Hanover from 1883 to 1888 and then worked as an architect in Hanover , since 1932 in Bad Pyrmont. He had been a member of the Hannoversche Bauhütte since 1886 . He built churches, villas and monuments in the neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque style , the latter often together with the Hanoverian sculptor Karl Gundelach .
