Ovtrup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Vester Horne Herred in what was then Ribe Office , then to Blaabjerg Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into the "new" Varde municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

1643 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Ovtrup Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Nørre Nebel Sogn in the north, Lunde Sogn in the east, Varde Sogn and Janderup Sogn in the south, Aal Sogn in the south-west and Henne Sogn in the west .
