Pál Reizer

Pál Reizer (born January 6, 1943 in Turulung near Negreşti-Oaş , Romania ; † April 18, 2002 in Satu Mare ) was bishop of the Satu Mare (Satmar) diocese in Romania.

Life

Pál Reizer came from Turulung (Hungarian: Túrterebes,; German Turterebesch ) on the Romanian-Ukrainian border. He was ordained a priest on April 2, 1967 .

He was appointed Bishop of Satu Mare (Szatmár) on March 14, 1990 by Pope John Paul II . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Delegate in the Russian Federation , Archbishop Francesco Colasuonno , on May 1, 1990. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Oradea Mare , József Tempfli , and the Auxiliary Bishop in Alba Iulia , György-Miklós Jakubínyi .

He died on April 18, 2002 and was buried in the crypt of the Ascension Cathedral in Satu Mare.
