Pär-Olof Ohlsson (born January 8, 1954 ) is a former Swedish football player . The offensive player, who won the Belgian national cup in 1980 , played six international matches for the Swedish national team .

Career

Ohlsson comes from the youth of Varbergs BoIS , he also made his adult debut for the club at the age of 16. At the beginning of 1972 he moved to Örgryte IS in Gothenburg in Allsvenskan . Here he soon distinguished himself as a regular goalscorer, after six goals in his debut season he placed with twelve goals this season in the 1973 season among the top scorers of the championship. Nevertheless, it was not enough for the team around Sören Börjesson , Stefan Allbäck , Peter Dahlqvist and Örjan Persson to stay up.

After relegation, Ohlsson moved within Allsvenskan to IFK Norrköping , where he also scored in double digits with eleven goals this season in his first season. So he was decisively involved in staying in the table as twelfth. Together with Leif Andersson and Kent Lundqvist , he formed the accurate offensive in the following seasons, which established the club in the midfield of the table. In the 1977 season, the team played its way into the top third of the table, the success was crowned with Ohlsson's international debut in October of that year in a 1-0 success with a goal by Lennart Larsson against Denmark . As a result, he was part of the extended circle of the national team, but despite 13 goals this season did not make it into the squad for the 1978 World Cup finals . In the following season he was successful in 14 games eleven times by the summer before he left the club during the current season.

Ohlsson moved to THOR Waterschei in Belgium . Under coach Cor Brom he reached the final of the Belgian Cup at the end of his first season with the team at the side of Heinz Gründel , Klaus Pudelko and Herman Houben . Against KSK Beveren achieved Pier Janssen and Jos Heyligen the gates to 2: 1 victory. After two seasons he returned to Sweden in the summer of 1981. Until 1985 he went on the hunt for goals for the then second division side Helsingborgs IF , then he let his active career end in the lower class area at Ängelholms FF .

After Ohlsson had already been involved in the football committee at Ängelholms FF for two years, he took over the post of sports director at the club, which had been promoted to the second-rate Superettan , in early 2008 . In autumn he gave up the post that was incompatible with his full-time job as rector.
