LEDA / PGC 10479 (also NGC 1097A ) is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E4 in the constellation Fornax in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 57 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 15,000 light-years across. Together with NGC 1097 , it forms the interacting galaxy pair Arp 77 .
Together with NGC 1079 , NGC 1097, IC 1830 and PGC 10709 it forms the NGC 1097 group .
