LEDA / PGC 1170468 (also NGC 4493-2 ) is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Virgo the northern sky . It is estimated to be 306 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years across . Together with NGC 4493 it forms a close gravitationally bound galaxy pair.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 4437 .
