LEDA / PGC 12769 (also NGC 1316C ) is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Fornax in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 75 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter. It is listed as a member of the Fornax galaxy cluster under catalog number FCC 33 .
The galaxies NGC 1316 , NGC 1317 , NGC 1318 , NGC 1326 are located in the same area of the sky .
