The freight locomotives of the Prussian type G 4.3 were manufactured between 1903 and 1907 by the Union company for the Prussian State Railways . The locomotive, which was developed with the aim of improving the running properties of triple-coupled vehicles, was convincing in its driving properties, so that the maximum speed could be set at 60 km / h, but was soon overwhelmed by the ever-increasing loads. They were used in the mixed service and in the express freight train service mainly in the eastern directorates. A total of only 63 copies were made, of which 39 locomotives as 53 296 and 297 and 53 301–337 were included in the Deutsche Reichsbahn's re-drawing plan for Länderbahn locomotives from 1923. In 1925, 28 were redrawn by the Reichsbahn with the road numbers 53 301–328. They were used until the late 1920s.

By Reparationsabgaben following the First World War came ten machines for PKP and were led there as T4. Another five locomotives came to the Free City of Danzig .

After the beginning of the Second World War , three locomotives from Gdansk came into the inventory of the Reichsbahn as 53 7751-7753.

The vehicles were a Schlepptender equipped the type pr 3 10.5 T 3 or T pr 12th
