history

The first written mention of Paštiky took place in 1352 in the papal tithe register of the Bozeň deanery . A small Gothic church was built on the hill above the village, probably in the second half of the 14th century. The first secure mention of a pleban in Passcziek took place in 1411. According to the writings of the Blatná archivist and regional historian Jan Pavel Hille (1861–1943), the pleban Martin worked in Paštiky in 1380; According to Hille, Jan von Přešťovice held this office in 1395 and 1412 and during this time led a dispute with Bušek von Buzice about the taxes due to the church. In the middle of the 15th century there was a parish in Paštiky; in 1436 the pastor from Paštik complained to the owner of the Blatná manor, Johann von Rosental, about damage to his pond. The Paštiky parish was abolished in 1594 and the church became a branch church of the Blatná parish. In 1608 Paštiky consisted of three hubs. In 1709 Count Josef Serényi von Kis-Serény acquired the Blatná estate. In 1774 there were eight chalets in Paštiky, the brickworks, the farm with the sheep farm and a mill. In 1798 the barons Hildprandt von und zu Ottenhausen acquired the Blatná rule. Paštiky was the seat of a judge who was also responsible for the lower jurisdiction over Bezdědovice . While the neighboring village of Bezdědovice grew strongly in the course of the 19th century due to its convenient location on Kaiserstrasse, this development did not affect Paštiky at all. In 1837 Pashtik / Passtik consisted of 8 houses with 44 inhabitants. There was a branch church of John the Baptist in the village. The parish was Blatna . Until the middle of the 19th century, Pashtik remained subject to the Blatná rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Paštiky / Paschtik 1850 with the districts and Bezdědovice Dobšice a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Blatná. The new railway connection Březnice – Strakonice favored the operation of numerous quarries around Blatná at the turn of the century; a granite quarry was also operated near Paštiky. In 1910 Paštiky consisted of nine houses in which 48 people lived. In 1948 the village Paštiky was renamed Bezdědovice. In the course of the abolition of the Okres Blatná, Paštiky was assigned to the Okres Strakonice in 1960. On January 1, 1974 the incorporation to Blatná took place. In 1988 there were 20 people living in Paštiky. Bezdědovice, Dobšice and Paštiky broke away from Blatná on November 24, 1990 and formed the municipality of Bezdědovice. In 1990 Paštiky had 20 inhabitants, in the 2001 census again 20 inhabitants and 10 houses were counted.

Culture and sights

  • Baroque church of John the Baptist on the hill above the village, it was built between 1747 and 1753 according to plans by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer instead of a previous Gothic building. The frescoes were created by Johann Wenzel Spitzer, the richly decorated baroque interior was designed by Ferdinand Ublaker.
  • Paštiky cemetery, it is located around the church. The entrance gate on the east side is decorated with stone skulls and bones. The cemetery chapel with the crypt underneath was also based on a design by Dientzenhofer. In 1846 the Hildprandt von und zu Ottenhausen family had the cemetery chapel converted into their family burial place.
  • Pashtik linden, tree monument at the cemetery
