The word Pagoda Forest ( Chinese  塔林 , Pinyin tǎlín , English Pagoda Forest ) means a collection of pagodas in Chinese . Famous pagoda forests are the pagoda forest of the Shaolin Monastery in Dengfeng in Henan Province and the Yinshan pagoda forest in the Beijing district of Changping .

Under the collective term of the Six Great Pagoda Forests of China , the pagoda forests of the Shaolin Monastery (Henan), the Fengxue Monastery (Henan), the Lingyan Monastery (Shandong), the Shentong Monastery (Shandong), the Qiyan Monastery (Shanxi) and the Qingtongxia Pagoda Forest (Ningxia) combined.

The collective term of the Four Great Pagoda Forests of China includes the pagoda forests of the Shaolin Monastery (Henan), the Lingyan Monastery (Shandong), the Fengxue Monastery (Henan) and the Qingtongxia Pagoda Forest (Ningxia).
