history

In 1867 the architect Carl Tietz built the three-wing building for the industrial family Klein . The rear wing was destroyed in 1945. The strictly historical palace is designed in the form of the neo-renaissance . The pillared portico of the arched portal was removed in 1958 and the lateral figure niches were broken out to form entrances. The figures in the groove have disappeared. In 1989 the palace was renovated.

description

A three-storey, pink-colored upper zone rests on a cuboid basement, which is structured by stone blocks and sill cornices . The central balcony with stone parapet on the piano nobile rests on consoles supported by four Tuscan pilasters . The side windows are set apart from the group of three in the middle. All windows have a triangular gable roof . The windows on the first floor are accentuated by Ionic half-column adikoles and balustrade wallpaper. The upper floors have window frames with ears . The highly detailed cornice with a tooth cut frieze and egg bar frieze , corbels with grotesques and carnies with lions' heads has an attic balustrade. A modern loft structure was added a little set back.

A remarkably well-preserved interior ensemble can be found on the bel étage: a three-aisled hall with a ceiling painting “Foundation of the hearth” is followed by an enfilade consisting of a hall and two salons. This is followed by the ballroom with light blue wall panels and a ceiling round picture of the seasons.
