Pampas de Leque (also Pampas de Laque ) is a town in the Chuquisaca department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

location

Pampas de Leque is a newly established village with a health station and school in the canton of Mariscal Braun in the municipality of Tarvita in the province of Azurduy . The village is located at an altitude of 3575  m on a ridge between the two peaks of Cerro Lekhe Punta (3704 and 3842 m), from which a tributary to the Río San José flows to the west, and the headwaters of the Río Tunas to the east Mayu is located.

Pampas de Leque is located between the Altiplano and the Bolivian lowlands in the southern part of the ridge of the Bolivian Cordillera Central . Pampas de Leque is located at a distance of 171 kilometers by road southeast of Sucre , the capital of Bolivia and the department.

From Sucre the 976 kilometer long highway Ruta 6 leads east , which connects Sucre with the Bolivian lowlands and the metropolis Santa Cruz there , and reaches the city of Tarabuco after 67 kilometers. From Tarabuco a high road then leads south to the village of Icla and on via Chahuarani and Jatun Mayu to Pampas de Leque and from there on via Capactala to Tarvita .
