Parrots, Palms & Co. was a zoo docu-soap of the WDR .

The series told stories from Loro Parque on Tenerife . The series was shot between January and July 2010. The first broadcast of the 40 episodes began on September 7, 2010 in the afternoon program of ARD and ended on November 9, 2010. Parrotien, Palmen & Co. was the ARD's first zoo docu-soap to be broadcast in high definition format .

Many different species of parrots were presented in the episodes of the series . However, it was reported to dolphins also have other species of small-clawed otter about giant tortoises to and about animal personalities such as King Penguin -Dame Agatha (and their "chosen" keepers), the King Tiger Saba and Prince , the Galapagos giant tortoises Tom and Tomasa and a Bachelor group of male gorillas . In doing so, u. a. the park employees at the time, such as the curator and later director Matthias Reinschmidt , the biologist Rafael Zamora, the veterinarians Heiner Müller, Sara Capelli and Kirstin Oberhäuser and the animal trainer and biologist Claudia Vollhardt accompanied in their daily work.
