Paper Trail is the sixth studio album by the American rapper T.I. It was released in the United States on September 30, 2008 via Grand Hustle Records and Atlantic Records . In the United States, it sold approximately 586,000 times in the first week, reaching gold status at number 1 on the Billboard charts in the first week . It has since sold around 2.6 million times worldwide and has been awarded double platinum status.

The album received essentially positive reviews. The side Metacritic .com determined an average score of 74 out of 100 based on 19 reviews. Andy Kellman awarded 3.5 out of five stars at Allmusic .com. Compared to the predecessor TI vs. TIP "a sense of urgency and a new dimension of self-reflection". The production was also better.

At the 2009 Grammy Awards was paper trail in the category Best Rap Album nominated, but lost Tha Carter III by Lil Wayne .
