King is the fourth studio album by the American rapper T.I. The album sold more than a million copies in the United States and received a platinum record from the Recording Industry Association of America . It was for the 49th ceremony of the Grammys for the Award for Best Rap Album nominated, but was of Release Therapy by Ludacris beaten. The work is assigned to the hip-hop subgenres Southern Rap and Gangsta Rap .

Features by Jamie Foxx , Young Dro , Young Buck , Pharrell Williams , Common and various other artists can be found on the record . The album was produced by Swizz Beatz , Just Blaze and blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, among others .

Commercially

In its first week, the album sold more than 500,000 copies in the US alone, making it number one on the Billboard 200 . It went platinum in about a month and was ranked 21st on the US Best Selling Albums list in 2006.

Awards

The Billboard Music Awards in 2006, the album was named best rap album of the year. It was also King for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album nominated, but lost Release Therapy by Ludacris . The play What You Know , however, won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance .
