The PapyRossa Publishing (own spelling) is a publishing company based in Cologne . The management is with Glenn Jäger and Tammo Wetzel, the management with Jürgen Harrer .

history

In 1990, Jürgen Harrer and Christa Herterich from Pahl-Rugenstein Verlag founded PapyRossa Verlag in the legal form of a GmbH & Co. KG together with Peter Bergmann . PapyRossa took over thirty non-fiction titles from the program of the Pahl-Rugenstein Verlag, which was insolvent at the end of 1989 due to the failure of SED funding. The publishing concept of its predecessor was followed up and since then more than 600 books have been published.

The publisher's program (approx. 25–30 new publications per year) includes politics, (social) history, economics, feminism, education and school, family, football as well as the series Basic Knowledge Politics / History / Economics and university publications. The We Women pocket calendar and the MEMORANDUM of the Alternative Economic Policy working group are published annually. According to its website, the publisher's goal is to intervene in current debates and provide basic historical and theoretical knowledge.
