Former town hall (Mairie) of Parigny

Parigny is a village and a former French commune with 1,853 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Avranches and the canton of Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët . The inhabitants are called Parignais .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former municipalities of Chèvreville , Martigny , Milly and Parigny were merged to form a Commune nouvelle with the name Grandparigny and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Parigny.

Parigny is about 24 kilometers east-southeast of Avranches . The river Sélune touches the area.
