General Guido is a partido (administrative unit) in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires . The Partido had 2,816 inhabitants at the 2010 census.
The administrative center is the place of the same name General Guido , a second place in the Partido exists with Labardén . The Partido General Guido is surrounded by the Partidos Dolores , Ayacucho , Pila and Maipú .
Intendente General Guidos is Aníbal Eugenio Loubet from the Unión Cívica Radical . General Guidos dialing code is 02268. The Partidos' patron saint is Nuestra Señora de la Merced.
history
The Partido was created in 1839 by decree of the Governor Juan Manuel de Rosas by dividing the Partido Tandil as Partido del Vecino . In 1865 the territory of the Partidos was reduced, it was not until 1888 that a first place was established at the Velázquez railway station, which had been built the year before. In 1891 this settlement was finally given the name General Guido - in 1926 the Partido was also renamed General Guido . In the 1940s, the population of the Partidos was over 5,000, and the number has been falling since then.
