Tordillo [ toɾ.ð̞i.ʒo ] is a partido in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires . The Partido had 1,764 inhabitants at the 2001 census. With an area of ​​1,330 km², Tordillo is one of the most sparsely populated partidos in the province as well as one with the smallest number of inhabitants. The number of households is 558.

history

Before the arrival of the Jesuits in this area around 1740, the Het people dominated this region, the first stable European settlements emerged around 1814. The Partido was created in 1839 by decree of the governor Juan Manuel de Rosas by separating from the Partido Dolores. In 1865 its territory was reduced, and in 1876 the main town General Conesa was founded.
