The Passade is an orographically left tributary of the Bega in Ostwestfalen-Lippe, 15 km long, together with its longer right upper course .
geography
The longer right upper course Dorla der Passade rises in Moerholz in the Horn-Bad Meinberger district of Fissenknick and flows from there in a northerly direction. It reaches Detmold's urban area, flows through or passes Ober- and Niederschönhagen and Altenkamp. After the tributary opposite Obernhausen of the left upper course Mosebecke the water is called Passade . In the further north this runs through the Biesen and Unterwiembeck and joins the Bega from the left at kilometer 23.3 in the Lemgo district of Vossheide.
environment
The headwaters of the Dorla (10.6 ha) and the Marpe and Passade valley (90 ha) are under nature protection. The passade is classified in water quality class II for almost the entire course of the river , which means that it is moderately polluted. The section between the confluence of the Mosebecke and the Brokhauser Bach, which is assigned to quality class II-III (critically loaded), is an exception. The State Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection in North Rhine-Westphalia operates a gauge at the Passade. This is located in the Lemgo district of Vossheide and is at the same time a water level, the data of which can be accessed online.
