Passins is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Arandon-Passins with 1,171 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Arandon and Passins were merged to form Commune nouvelle Arandon-Passins. The municipality of Passins was part of the La Tour-du-Pin arrondissement and the canton of Morestel .
geography
Passins is about 47 kilometers east-southeast of Lyon . The municipality of Passins was surrounded by the neighboring towns of Arandon in the north, Morestel in the east, Sermérieu in the south, Soleymieu in the west and Courtenay in the northwest.
To the east of the village is the Morestel airfield .
