Patrick Ashton (born September 6, 1984 in Munich ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with TSV Erding in the ice hockey league since July 2012 .

Career

Ashton began his career in the 2002/03 season with Wanderers Germering in the Landesliga, where he was promoted to the Bayernliga . In the 2003/04 season he was also part of the Wanderers' Bayern League squad before he decided to move to the Kingston Voyageurs in the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

For the 2005/06 season Ashton returned to Germany and signed a contract with the Augsburg Panthers in the German Ice Hockey League and was also used at EV Landsberg in the Oberliga . In the 2006/07 season Ashton was then under contract with ERC Ingolstadt , but left the club for the 2007/08 season to play in the major league at EHC Klostersee . At EHC Klostersee, Ashton began the 2008/09 season before moving to EHC Munich during the season , where he made his second division debut on March 8, 2009. At the beginning of the 2009/10 season , Ashton returned to EHC Klostersee to collect match practice as a regular goalkeeper. The following season he began with the Dresdner Eislöwen , where he acted as a substitute goalkeeper before he was signed by EV Landsberg in January 2011. For the 2011/12 season he returned to EHC Klostersee. Ashton is currently fighting for the title of goalkeeper with the Erding Gladiators in the 2012/13 season .
