Patrick Grandmaitre (born March 20, 1979 in Hull , Québec ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who last played at the ETC Crimmitschau in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey . Grandmaitre was right-shooter and acted as a striker.
Career
Grandmaitre began his career in the 1995/96 season with the Victoriaville Tigres in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League , where he played four seasons and was the team's best scorer in 1999. The same team-internal title he achieved a year later with the Québec Remparts .
After the season, Grandmaitre moved to Saint Francis Xavier University for the next five years with a brief stint for the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL , before coming to Germany in 2005 to join ESV Kaufbeuren . One season later, the Schwenningen Wild Wings signed the center and in the 2007/08 season the Canadian stormed for SC Bietigheim-Bissingen .
During the season, Grandmaitre moved to league rivals ETC Crimmitschau , for which he stormed until the 2008/09 season . After the season he ended his playing career to pursue the profession of teacher in his Canadian homeland.
