Patrick Khatami
Patrick Khatami (* 1977 in Saarbrücken ) is a German actor .
Life
Khatami is of Persian descent. He completed his acting training at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main . He also attended various seminars and coaching for film work, u. a. at the Institute for Acting, Film and Television Professions (ISSF) in Berlin .
Khatami had numerous theater engagements in the fields of acting and musical theater , in his beginners' years a . a. at the Staatstheater Darmstadt (1999), at the Landesbühne Niedersachsen (2000) and at the Stadttheater Heidelberg (2001, as a high school student Otto in Spring Awakening , director: Jule Ronstedt ).
In the 2001/02 season he was engaged at the Pforzheim City Theater. There he played u. a. Harry in My Fair Lady , Cherubim in The Greatest Day , Stephano in Der Sturm and Luis in Kiss of the Spider Woman .
Further stage engagements followed at the Münchner Kammerspiele (2005) and at the Oberhausen Theater . From 2006 he appeared regularly on stages in Berlin, a. a. at the grandstand (2006), at the Theater unterm Dach (2008), at the Heimathafen Neukölln theater collective (2011-2012), at the Vaganten stage (2013, directed by Stefan Lochau ), in the Sophiensælen (2014), at DOCK 11 (2016) and at the theater discounter (2016–2017). He has also performed throughout Germany with the performance ensemble “HolyTwister” a. a. as a DJ.
In the autumn of 2017 he was guest at the Alten Schauspielhaus Stuttgart in the leading role as the Pakistani lawyer Amir in a production of the play Geächtet (Disgraced) by Ayad Akhtar . With this production (director: Karin Boyd ) he is on tour in Germany in February / March 2018.
Khatami has also been in front of the camera for film, cinema and television since 2001. Directed by Tini Tüllmann , he played the leading role in Taxi , an episode of the 2001 exercise film Friday Night (2001), which was awarded gold at the Munich International Film Schools Festival . In Sebastian Stolz 's film Marcel über den Dächern (2015), he also took on one of the two main male roles. In the ZDF Sunday film A Summer in Sicily (first broadcast: May 2016), he played, alongside Henriette Richter-Röhl , in a supporting role, the Italian doctor Dr. Argento.
In the ZDF crime series Der Kriminalist he was part of the investigative team of the cool and analytical Berlin chief inspector Bruno Schumann ( Christian Berkel ) from 2009-2010 as a forensic technician Chris . He also had episode roles in the television series Die Pfefferkörner (2009, as father Tarik), SOKO Wismar (2017, as doctor Dr. Hakan Karani, who loved and treated a murdered burn-out patient) and SOKO Cologne (2018, as suspect bartender Max Long).
Khatami also works as a moderator, u. a. at the Max Ophüls Prize film festival . He lives in Berlin.
