Patrick Steuerwald (born March 3, 1986 in Wolfach ) is a German national volleyball player .
Career
Patrick Steuerwald started his career in Hausach and then played in Offenburg . From VfB Friedrichshafen he went to the youth team of VC Olympia Berlin . With the junior national team, he reached third place at the 2004 European Championship and ninth place at the 2005 World Championship. For the 2005/06 season, he moved within the capital to SCC Berlin . A year later he went to Generali Haching , with whom he won the German Cup in 2009 and 2010 . In the 2010/11 season he played in Italy for Umbria Volley , and in 2011 he moved to Poland to AZS Politechnika Warszawska . In 2012, Steuerwald returned to Generali Haching and was again DVV Cup winner here in 2013 . He then moved back to Italy to Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia . In 2014, the setter went to France for Saint-Nazaire Volley-Ball Atlantique. In 2015, Steuerwald moved back to the German Bundesliga for TSV Herrsching . In 2017 he moved to league competitor United Volleys Rhein-Main .
Patrick Steuerwald has also played in the German national team since 2005 . Under national coach Raúl Lozano , he was a regular here from 2009. 2012, the new national coach pulled Vital Heynen but Simon Tischer and Lukas Kampa ago. In 2013 he returned to the national team and played in the world league .
After finishing his active career, Steuerwald has been an assistant coach at Bundesliga club VfB Friedrichshafen since 2019
Private
Steuerwald's brother Markus is also a national volleyball player.
