Paul Campbell was born in the late 1970s to Karen and Bruce Campbell in the Canadian metropolis of Vancouver, British Columbia. He began his professional career not as an actor, but as a carpenter in his hometown at the age of 18. He worked in this profession for around four years before he decided to take acting lessons and attended drama school. After almost two years at Capilano University , he finished his training and, after having only had minor roles in performances, was discovered by a talent scout from Vancouver, signed up and from then on continuously booked for roles in film and television. He had his first appearance in 2002 in an episode of the first season of Dead Zone . In the same year he was in the film When We See Each Other Again , but still hadn't been given a significant role. A year later he was featured in an episode of the short-lived and cliffhanged television series The John Doe! booked. Also in 2003 he was seen in an episode of the short-lived series Black Sash . Campbell, on the other hand, had a recurring role in the sci-fi production Andromeda , in which he played two consecutive episodes in 2003 as Lt. Bowlus was seen. The young Canadian also appeared in an episode of Peacemakers and in the entire Battlestar Galactica miniseries . In the miniseries he took over the role of Billy Keikeya , the youngest member of the minister's staff and later President Laura Roslin (played by Mary McDonnell ). In this role he finally played in the actual television series Battlestar Galactica and was seen from 2004 to 2006 in a total of 25 episodes of the first and second seasons of the television series. His character dies when he is shot dead by a terrorist in episode 16 of the second season after he previously saved the life of his girlfriend Anastasia Dualla (played by Kandyse McClure ).

Other engagements that the 1.91 m tall actor had in the year were, among other things, two film appearances in Full Points , in which he only played a mini role, and in the all-Canadian drama Ill Fated , where he played alongside Peter Outerbridge and with the role of Jimmy was one of the main characters. For this role he was even awarded a Leo Award in the category "Feature Length Drama: Best Lead Performance by a Male" the following year. From this time on he tried his hand at being an actor in film and was booked in 2005 for the films Mein aggravated weekend or Severed - Forest of the Dead , among others . In both films he played an essential role and was no longer only in small, insignificant roles. In 2006 Paul Campbell worked alongside Taran Killam , Paul Adelstein , Bob Clendenin , Lauren Bittner and Mircea Monroe in the WB pilot film Nobody's Watching . However, the pilot was never broadcast on television, but found its way onto the Internet over time and celebrated its premiere on YouTube . In 2007 a guest appearance followed in 88 minutes , as well as a leading role in National Lampoons Bag Boy . Only one year later he took on the essential supporting role of the information and technology boss of Knight Industries , William "Billy" Morgan in the remake of the 80s series Knight Rider . As chief mechanic, he was used in all 17 episodes and the previously produced pilot; thereafter the series was canceled after only one broadcast season, after the initially high ratings sank rapidly and the first season, which was actually designed for 22 episodes, had to be shortened to only 17 episodes. However, the reason for discontinuing the series was not given because of the bad ratings. Rather, it was the high production costs of the series and the uncertain financial situation of the television station NBC, as well as the sponsor partner, the automobile manufacturer Ford. After leaving this series, Campbell was mainly active in the film sector again, so he took over leading roles in the films No Heroics as well in 2009 Play the Game and was seen a year later in a rather smaller role in Bond of Silence .

The year 2011 was a lot more intense for the Canadian, however, with the film Normal , in which he played the essential role of Dr. Tatsciore slipped. He also starred in the single-camera comedy series Almost Heroes that summer , in all eight episodes produced. Other major engagements this year included participation in the movies Killer Mountain and Ein Jahr vogelfrei! . After seeing just a single episode of Supernatural in 2012 , he returned to more frequent appearances in film and television in 2013. Including a leading role in the romantic Christmas comedy Window Wonderland or appearances in an episode of Emily Owens and motifs . Another film with Campbell in the lead role is currently (as of December 22, 2013) in post-production and is due to hit Canadian cinemas on March 1, 2014. Production of the film started in December 2012. Paul Campbell also took on one of the leading roles in the new sitcom with Dave Foley , Spun Out , which is also due to be released in early 2014.
