Peter Outerbridge (born June 30, 1966 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actor .

Life and accomplishments

Peter Outerbridge was born and raised in Toronto. He has two older sisters and two older brothers. His ancestors come from Sweden and Bermuda . His paternal grandparents served as missionaries in China during the 1920s. When they returned to Canada, his grandfather became a priest in the Protestant Uniate Church in northern Ontario. After high school , Outerbridge moved to British Columbia to study drama at the University of Victoria . He then spent four years with the Way Off Broadway theater company and toured Canada.

In the thriller The Price of Beauty (1991) he played the main male role alongside Jennifer Rubin , whose character was romantically interested in him. In 1997 and 2002 Outerbridge was nominated for Canadian Genie Awards for Best Actor for the films Kissed and Marine Life . He was also nominated 8 times for his television performance at the Gemini Awards between 1996 and 2007 . However, he has celebrated his greatest international success so far as the leading actor (David Sandström) in the Canadian science fiction series ReGenesis .

Peter Outerbridge has been married to Canadian actress Tammy Isbell since May 2000 and has two sons with her.
