Paul Hermann (politician)

Paul Hermann (born April 17, 1809 in Dresden , † August 17, 1862 in Weidlitz ) was a German lawyer , politician and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

Paul Hermann was born as the son of the future mayor of Dresden, Friedrich Wilhelm Hermann .

Paul Hermann studied law and camera science in Leipzig and Berlin from 1827 to 1831 . In Leipzig he joined the old Leipzig fraternity in 1827 .

In 1831 he went on an educational trip through Germany and Belgium . In 1835 he was promoted to Dr. iur. doctorate, a year later he began working as a lawyer in Dresden. From 1837 to 1842 he was a special legal replacement commissioner and a member of the Central Committee for Patriotic Statistics in Dresden. In 1837 he repeated his educational trip, this time through Germany, Hungary and Austria .

The Weidlitzer manor

From 1842 he settled as a farmer in Weidlitz and Pannewitz .

In the revolutionary year of 1848 he was sent to the Paulskirchenparlement for the constituency 3. Kgr. Saxony ( Bautzen ) . He joined the Casino faction .

From 1852 to 1862 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament .

From 1843 he was chairman of various agricultural associations, in 1857 he founded an agricultural research station in Weidlitz, and from 1858 he published various agronomic journals.
