Paula Diehl

Paula Diehl (born July 6, 1970 in Porto Alegre , Brazil ) is a German political and communication scientist . She is professor for political theory and the history of ideas at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel .

Life

Career

From 1989 to 1992, Diehl studied communication science (Bachelor 1992) at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and social sciences at the Universidade de São Paulo in São Paulo. From 1993 to 1996 she studied sociology at the Institute for Sociology I at the Free University of Berlin . In 2002 she worked with Herfried Münkler at the Department of Political Science at the Humboldt University in Berlin with the dissertation Power - Myth - Utopia. The body images of the SS men (1933–1938) for Dr. phil. PhD.

In 2003 she was a postdoc in the Berlin Program for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities for Women in Research and Teaching (BCP) and research assistant on the project “Psychological Contributions to National Socialism Research” at the Department of Social Psychology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In the summer semester of 2019 she was appointed to the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . Here she is responsible for the professorship for political theory and the history of ideas at the Institute of Social Sciences .
