novel
In February 2020, Czienskowski published her debut novel Taubenleben , according to the fashion magazine VOGUE, a portrait of the attitude towards life of Generation Y, which was well received on social media, but was rather cautiously discussed by literary critics. Jan Drees, for example, criticized the text on Deutschlandfunk as an "overpsychologizing tableau": "The reason for the narrative and the topicality of your story are just as arbitrary as numerous linguistic images in which open knees burn" like fire ", the sun does not shine but" shoots "and hearts" like. " a drum ". It also remains unclear why the heroine wants to be significant but does not seek to surpass her own mediocrity. Thus, this quickly written debut appears just as indifferent as the media claim" Generation Y "that is supposed to be reflected here. Stay that way Beast like Roman caught in the "symbol of miserably failed existences". It doesn't get any more exciting. "
