Paulus Arajuuri (born June 15, 1988 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish football player .
Career
societies
Paulus Arajuuri played in numerous clubs in Finland in his youth. In his last year as a youth player he was active for FC Espoo , whose first team was playing in the third-class Kakkonen at that time . The following year, he joined city rivals FC Honka Espoo on, for which he in the Veikkausliiga - 2006 season celebrated the pro debut. Just one season later, Arajuuri was under contract with the second division club Klubi 04 , which serves the Finnish record champions HJK Helsinki as a reserve and junior team. From 2008 to 2009 he played for IFK Mariehamn from Åland . In two seasons he came to a total of 45 league games and scored three goals, two of them in the 4-2 home win over FC KTP Kotka in May 2008. In September 2009, Arajuuri signed a four-year contract with Kalmar FF , which will be valid from the 2010 season would have. In January 2014 he moved to the Polish first division club Lech Posen on a free transfer after the expiring contract in Kalmar was not extended. National team
Paulus Arajuuri played in twelve Finnish U-21 games between 2008 and 2010 . In January 2010, the central defender made his debut for the Finnish national soccer team in the game against South Korea that was played in Málaga , Spain . With the selection team Arajuuri took part in the Baltic Cup 2012 in Estonia; in the final he lost with this in the decisive penalty shootout against Latvia . He scored his first international goal in a 1-1 draw against Northern Ireland on October 11, 2015.
