The Pentax K-S2 is a mid-range digital SLR camera from Ricoh (formerly Pentax ). It was presented on February 9, 2015 and, in contrast to the similar model K-S1, has a traditional operating concept, a fold-out and swiveling display and is weatherproof.

So far, the various HDR modes (since the Pentax Kr also with position adjustment ) were only accessible through the on-screen menu with Pentax cameras . The K-S2 now has an A-HDR mode that can be selected using the mode wheel, which automatically selects parameters for the tone mapping and should produce a more natural-looking result than the various selectable HDR modes of previous Pentax models.

Like the Pentax K-3 and K-S1, the K-S2 also masters low-pass filter simulation.

At the same time, a new, weatherproof 18–50mm f / 4–5.6 lens was presented, which can take a particularly space-saving resting position and is to be offered as a kit with the camera.
