The Pentax Km is a digital SLR camera from the Pentax brand with a 10 megapixel sensor. It was launched in November 2008.

description

The Km has a very compact, lightweight plastic housing. It was sold almost exclusively in a set with one or two lenses from the lightweight DA-L series. In the USA, the identical variant is called the K2000.

The Km is powered by four standard rechargeable or disposable AA format batteries, which simplifies the power supply. The type of battery used can be set via the menu so that very reliable information about the remaining service life of the power storage is displayed.

More functions

  • opto-magnetic image stabilizer. The recording chip is built into the housing in a swinging manner and thus prevents shaking. If the camera is operated on a tripod, this function must be switched off. The advantage: This type of image stabilization is independent of the lens used.
  • Preparation for infrared remote control
  • Control of Pentax system flash units via the built-in flash unit

Possibility of image recording in PEF or DNG RAW data format.
