Pereiras-Gare was a municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Odemira , with an area of 63.9 km² and 271 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). This corresponds to a population density of 4.2 inh / km². The independent municipality of Pereiras-Gare was created in 1985 by splitting off from the municipality of Santa Clara-a-Velha .
In the course of the administrative reorganization in Portugal , the municipality of Pereiras-Gare was dissolved on September 29, 2013 and again incorporated into Santa Clara-a-Velha.
