Perzendorf is a village with 164 inhabitants (January 1, 2020) in the Korneuburg district in Lower Austria . Perzendorf was incorporated on January 1, 1971 as a cadastral community of the market town of Hausleiten .

history

The name goes back to a certain Porzo who was probably the founder or the first in the village to be entrusted with the management of the settlement. But there was also a place in the German Empire whose emigrants took the name abroad with them. The place name is associated with the old German word Porzen, which means something like “to stand up” or “to lie higher”. Porzindorf was built on a small elevation in a swamp area. The word porz, as much as "bush" could also be in the village name, and mean something like "settlement in the bushes".
