Peter Dorsch

Peter Dorsch (* 1964 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German theater director .

The trained mechanical engineer attended the Baden Drama School in 1988 and then worked as an assistant director at the Baden State Theater in Karlsruhe. In 1991 he made his directorial debut with the AZ cabaret and the program "Hellish Pleasure in Heavenly Dimensions".

From 2004 to 2008 Peter Dorsch was assistant director at the Thalia Theater Hamburg (with David Bösch , Nuran David Calis , Jorinde Dröse , Erik Gedeon , Stephan Kimmig and Andreas Kriegenburg, among others ). Further assistant directors followed at the Salzburg Festival , the Bregenz Festival and at the Vienna Burgtheater .

From 2007 to 2012 Peter Dorsch worked as a freelance director (including in-house director at Cabaret AZ ), lecturer and author. In 2012 he was chairman of the playwright competition "PIECES SHOOTING". From 2014 to 2016 he was the artistic director of the Logensaal of the Hamburger Kammerspiele.

Peter Dorsch lives in Hamburg.
