Dietrich Bartsch

Dietrich Bartsch (born March 10, 1979 in Weißenfels ) is a German pianist , composer and conductor for drama .

Life

Bartsch attended the special school for music in Halle (Saale) from 1991 to 1995 and graduated from the Goethe-Gymnasium in Weißenfels in 1997. At the national competition “ Jugend musiziert ” in Leipzig in 1997, he received first prize. From 1997 to 2003 he studied piano pedagogy with Joel Shapiro and Markus Tomas as well as accompaniment with Horst Böhm and Peter Jarchow at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . From 1997 to 1999 he was a member of the GewandhausChor Leipzig.

From 2000, Bartsch worked on contracts for work at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin (Choreography Department), from 2004 to 2008 with teaching assignments in the Acting, Directing and Choreography departments.

In 2003 he was engaged as a performing pianist at the Neukölln Opera in the production “ Così fan tutte ” (director: Robert Lehmeier), which was invited to the 2004 Wiener Festwochen . From the 2005 to 2006 season this production was played at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg . In 2007 he wrote the version and was musical director of the production “Carmen - ein Kammerspiel” (director: Susanne Knapp) at the Theater Vorpommern . From 2007 to 2009 he studied acting at the Berlin School of Drama . In 2008 he worked at the Drehbühne Berlin, where he worked as a pianist (musical director), composer and actor in the production "Verrückte Zeiten - Hommage an Charlie Chaplin " in coproduction with the Admiralspalast Berlin . The production made a guest appearance at the Kleist Forum Frankfurt (Oder) in 2009. He has made guest appearances at the Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona (Spain) and at the Theater am Stadtgarten Winterthur (Switzerland).

From 2009 to 2011 he was engaged at the Konzerthaus Berlin , where he worked as an actor and pianist in Gotthart Kuppel's production “ Schumanns Kinderszenen” (directed by Antje Siebers).

In 2010 he worked with the actors Jeffrey von Laun and Christoph Fortmann in the productions "A bit bi schadet nie" and "Exotic fruits" as an author, producer, pianist and actor, which were performed in the Kleine Nachtrevue and Club Aviator Berlin. In 2010, together with Peter Dorsch (director), he designed “ Après Ski ” as musical director for the Schwaben State Theater . In April 2011 he developed the recital "Ich Traumich" with Steffi Plattner and Paola Trischmann for the Lincoln Theater in Worms. In 2011 he worked at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater as musical director of the production "Let it be (atles)". Since 2012 he has been working as drama bandmaster and director of drama music at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater under the directorship of Peter Grisebach and the drama director Wolfram Apprich . In the production " Emmy Hennings - A Life on the Edge of DADA" - premiered on April 11, 2014 - Dietrich Bartsch worked as an author , composer and director .
