The Roman Catholic Diocese of Erexim ( Latin Dioecesis Ereximensis , Portuguese Diocese de Erexim ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Erexim in the state of Rio Grande do Sul .

history

The diocese of Erexim was on May 27, 1971 by Pope Paul VI. Erected with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Christ from cession of territory by the Diocese of Passo Fundo and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre as a suffragan . On April 13, 2011, the diocese of Erexim was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Passo Fundo as a suffragan.
