Adimir Antônio Mazali
Adimir Antônio Mazali (born May 16, 1966 in Corbélia , Paraná ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Erexim .
Life
Adimir Antônio Mazali studied philosophy at the Faculty of Human Sciences in Toledo from 1986 to 1988 and Catholic theology at the Studium Theologicum in Curitiba from 1989 to 1992 . He was ordained a deacon on July 12, 1992 and received the sacrament of priestly ordination on December 5 of the same year in the church of Nossa Senhora da Penha in Corbélia by the Archbishop of Cascavel , Armando Círio OSI .
From 1992 to 1999, Adimir Antônio Mazali worked as a spiritual director at the Minor Seminary in São José and was responsible for vocational pastoral care. He then was parish vicar of the parish Imaculado Coração de Maria in Cascavel for a year before he became parish administrator of the parish Nossa Senhora de Caravaggio in Cascavel in 1996 . In 1999 Mazali was sent to Rome for further studies , where he obtained a licentiate in patristics at the Pontifical Gregorian University in 2001 .
In 2002, Adimir Antônio Mazali became administrator of the diocesan shrine of Nossa Senhora da Salette in Braganey and Regens of the seminary . He also taught at the interdiocesan center for theology in Cascavel from 2002 to 2004 and was spiritual for the theological propaedeutic from 2005 to 2006 . In 2009 Mazali became director of the Faculdade Missioneira do Paraná in Cascavel, where he had been a professor since 2005 . In addition, he was pastor of the parish of Nossa Senhora de Fátima from 2009 to 2016 and pastor of the cathedral Nossa Senhora Aparecida in Cascavel since 2016 .
On April 15, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Erexim. The Archbishop of Cascavel, Mauro Aparecido dos Santos , gave him on 20 June of the same year in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Aparecida , the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Cascavel, Lúcio Ignácio Baumgaertner , and the Bishop of Jataí , Nélio Domingos Zortea . The inauguration took place on July 12, 2020.
