Peter James (cameraman)

Peter James (born March 7, 1947 in Sydney , New South Wales , Australia ) is an Australian cameraman .

Life

Peter James Cousin, the Australian screenwriter Jon Cleary , got him a vacation job at Supreme Sound Studios . There he assisted cameramen such as George Lowe, Graham Lind, John Leake and Andrew Fraser. After the job, James was asked if he didn't want to stay longer and so he became an assistant for the Australian television series SOS Charter Boat! involved. Then he was the second assistant camera in the series Barrier Reef . As early as 1973 James was allowed to work independently as a cameraman with Avengers of the Reef for the first time. This was followed by alternating jobs in camera work and as a cameraman for a few years.

James had his big Hollywood breakthrough in 1989 with Miss Daisy and her chauffeur . This was followed by films such as Doppelmord , Meine Bride, Her Father and I , The Babynator and 27 Dresses .
